"I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK, BABY, I WAS BORN THIS WAY".

Listening to: Born this way- Lady Gaga.

So its fair to say that I am in love with Lady Gaga. Shes a strong, confident, inspirational woman (whos is super attractive); so what is there not to love. So how can I not be envious of her amazing 'Born this way" jacket.

My boyfriend lives in his denin jacket (be in sun or rain) and after several months- more like nearly a year- my jacket has be seriously mistreated. I've worn it only a handful of times always leaving it in my car and forgetting about it for weeks. So why not customise it?

And it appears I'm not alone in loving customised denin.

(The jackets are for sale here, here, here and here.)

I'm looking foward to the next few days, does anyone else look foward to their ideas turning into reality?

Wish me luck!

"I WONDER WHAT YOU`RE DOING NOW, I HOPE YOU`RE FEELING HAPPY NOW"

Listening to: Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good)- Skunk Anansie

Last week I finally received my studs ordered over a month ago from eBay. Despite the time it took to receive them it was well worth it!
I thought they would be extremely difficult to attach to clothes but they were so easy, I ended up attaching them by hand which took no time at all (but gave me such sore fingers and thumbs).

The end result: me finally finishing my shorts.

I've seem similar items on line in River Island as an example- but on a students nurse budget they were way out of my price range. That and I HATE getting rid of perfectly good clothes.

Red shorts found here, blue here.

Jumper: New Look.
Tights: Primark.
Shorts: Homemade.

Originally a old pair of faded black Primark jeans that are now two sizes too big. I LOVE primark skinny jeans. I'm strangely tall in the body and they come up higher in the waist so suit me perfectly, and as they are too big now come up to almost high waisted standards. I cut off the legs folded and ironed the legs and sewed along the seams at the sides.

I LOVE THESE!!!!

"LIFE APPEARS TO ME TOO SHORT TO BE SPENT IN NURSING ANIMOSITY OR REGISTERING WRONGS."

Reading: Jane Eyre- Charlotte Bronte

I spent yesterday (Sunday) at the Kensington Olympia with my sisters and mother at a wedding exposition. Don't worry I have no plans what so ever of getting married despite how much fun I was having planning while I was there.

I basically spent the whole time collecting as many freebies as i could, staring with longing at all the 'tent' wedding venues and filling out competition forms with my sisters details (I can't wait for her to win free bridesmaids accessories).

Seeing as the venue was in a very posh part of London (posh to me anyway) I had to dress up.

I'm useless at self portrait photos but this is what I wore.

I've been inspired by Jane Eyre lately when it comes to dressing smart. Maxi skirts and covered shoulders. Especially velvet- I can;t stop looking at it in shops! It just feels so luxurious.

Skirt: Topshop- sale item.
Vest: Primark.
Jacket: Primark
Bracelets: Links Of London and Thomas Sabo
Rings: Topshop (Celtic) and Topman (pirate)

Charity shopping last week my friend April picked up a velvet jacket and I urged her to buy it; unfortunately it wouldn't fit either of us but hopefully (as her mum is amazing) she will be wearing a homemade black velvet jacket soon and then I can die of jealousy. If interested, visit St Clares hospice charity shop in Debdon high street.

If you haven't read Jane Eyre before I urge you to! It is AMAZING! It makes me want to be a governess. Its amazingly well written, and a great story line.
